The Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum latest show “We’re Still Here – The Survival of Washington Indians” will be available until September 28. Come learn the fascinating and continuing story of Native American people in Washington. Rare images and colorful artifacts will tell the compelling history and personal stories. Washington State International Kite Festival

The Washington State International Kite Festival is a week-long kite celebration and competition held annually during the third full week of August. Starting on Monday and ending on Sunday, this beautiful festival boasts skies ablaze with color, high flying action and choreographed movement. Washington’s Kite Festival draws famous kite fliers from all around the world, and tens of thousands awed spectators, many of whom participate in the fun with their own kite flying adventures. This week not only features kites, but also attracts many vendors offering interesting and tasty treats and treasures. Friday night features lighted kites and a beautiful display of fireworks. Pacific County Fair

Featuring blue-ribbon pies, 4H exhibits, amusements, and tempting treats, the fair promises all the charm of a traditional county fair. Fairgoers can view a wide variety of exhibits from farm animals and 4-H projects, to art, floral entries, woodworking and photography. A vintage log truck as well as new tractors will be on display.
